Hedgehog House

Hedgehog populations are sadly still in decline, so it is vital to make space for them in our gardens. You can put out one of our hedgehog houses to provide an extra cosy home for our prickly friends!

Where possible, place the house in a protected area under some permanent sheltered greenery leaving the opening clear and facing South or South West. April and October are the best months to put out a hedgehog house, either side of their hibernation season. In particularly cold weather hedgehogs might hibernate for longer, so be careful not to disturb your residents.
