Description

Peanuts are a traditional bird food and, being high in essential oil, popular with a wide variety of species. Encourage Tits, sparrows, finches, nuthatches and woodpeckers, amongst many others, into your garden with this protein rich favourite.

Peanuts for birds can vary greatly in size and quality which is why we ensure our peanuts are of the highest quality available on the market. CJ's Premium Whole Peanuts are purchased from human food stocks to ensure that there are nil detectable signs of aflatoxin, produced by a mould that can develop on peanuts grown, harvested, transported or stored in excessively hot and humid conditions. Even in very small quantities aflatoxin can be extremely harmful, so we take every care to ensure that the peanuts in this range are of the highest quality available.

CJ Wildlife became the first company in the UK to introduce several specially developed bird foods, including Whole Peanuts with nil-detectable aflatoxin levels in the UK.

Do not feed whole peanuts unless they are contained within a wire mesh feeder, as chicks can choke if fed whole peanuts or large pieces.

Due to poor harvests globally, the quality and yield of peanuts available this season (2023/2024) is lower than in previous years. Despite these challenges, we are committed to offering you the best possible selection from the current harvest. Our Premium Peanuts remain the highest quality available in size, Aflatoxins rating and fat levels in the current harvest and this is reflected in the pricing.
